An itching sensation

Quite recently i have become aware of a rash very close to my nether regions. It has caused a lot of discomfort to me in my daily affairs as i am continually compelled to relieve myself. I am also concerned that it may be contagious so have taken precautions against moving too close to students. Has anybody else experienced this itch? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I know a guy who had it. Turned out to be Herpes. Better go see a doctor . . .

My workmate recommends Dr Viroj Chodchoy at the urology department at Bumrungrad hospital. Whatever it is he'll fix it.

I should add that the affected area is not my penis but rather the area directly behind and under the scrotum. Thank you for the above suggestion good2bhappy. I googled it and it appears to be the needed treatment. Do you know if the infection is in any way contagious?

Talc helps with sweaty bits as well IME!!!

Could you recommend a brand of talc please Kenkannif? I will take in consideration most of the advice here.

I usually use the menthol talc with like the snake thing on...but my genitals are quite 'hardened' up due to maximum abuse!!!

Why choose the menthol? I would have expected that to sting?

Sounds like jock itch. It's a fungus, probably what WB mentioned. Get some athletes foot cream and apply it every day, should clear it up for you. If not then see a Dr.

Your concern regarding my situation is endearing mr hales. If asking a simple question regarding my health makes me "retarded" then i fear for most. I am very grateful for most of the input here, the usual unkempt comments are only to be expected.

I bought the cream today and applied it during my lunch break. It seems to have soothed the itch in the region. I will report back if there are any problems. Thanks.

Ahhhh! Talc to the nutsack is NASTY! The cooling powder is ouchy, use baby talc around that area.
