The road of the Swan Pub if you like farang food, you have 3-4 pubs/bars which serve decent food, the music is ok at the Post Laser, it's near Lee Garden so it's not hard to find

Western food would be good, but so would some Thai seafood. I'm looking to spend about 1200 for the two of us (dinner only, not drinks).
Any other recommendations?
Maybe a place in Songkhla?

There are lots of Thai seafood places around HY. However, the food may be good but the plastic chairs and concrete floors are not.
There are a couple of nice places up by Mor Or. Head towards Macro , go past the Tesco and turn left at the lights. They are about 100 mt and 400 mt on the right on the other side of the road to the Uni.
The place down the road from the Swan, past Westside has good food but is a sh*t hole.

Remember that seafood is not cheap and 1200 will not buy Lobster.
