Then there are specialized programs like those from LinkedIn Learning or Udacity’s Nanodegrees, which focus on practical skills that employers actively seek. Employers today seem to value demonstrated skills and portfolios sometimes even more than traditional degrees, especially in tech fields. That said, the reputation of the issuing body and how current the curriculum is play huge roles. Ultimately, a mix of recognized certification plus hands-on experience seems to be the winning formula for standing out in the job market.
